The Kueh Lapis are freshly baked in Batam with no preservative. Cling wrap them properly after each consumption and you can chill them in your fridge till CNY or even longer.
My supplier is a direct importer of Kueh Lapis from Batam to Singapore. He imports his lapis to Singapore on a regular basis to a many popular and reputable local hotels, confectionary, and cafes here. I am not able to quote names of the hotels and retail outlets due to their contractual binding.
His lapis also won the championship in one of the competitions held in Takashimaya a few years back. This is the 16th year we have been selling locally. Thank you very much for the continued support to bring this yearly BP back again.
The Kueh Lapis is also Halal Certified.

I have no control over the QC in Batam during the peak period. The lapis are Fresh Chilled Lapis not frozen lapis stored in the cold room for months. They are on huge demand every Chinese New Year and the bakers has to rush and bake overnight to meet such demand. As such, some batches supplied on the last week before CNY may not meet up to your expectation, e.g. prunes in prune lapis not evenly distributed or one having more prune than the others. I seek your kind understanding on this matter.
The lapis contain no preservative, if you suspect that you have received a mouldy lapis, please DO NOT throw the lapis away, give me a call, I will collect the lapis from you AND you can decide if you want a refund or a one to one exchange.

HOW TO KEEP THE KUEH LAPIS TILL CNY OR EVEN LONGER PERIOD
Refrigeration for all kueh lapis is highly recommended.
The lapis has no preservative. Please keep them in the fridge once you received them.
You can keep them in the fridge till CNY, by doing this, you can preserve the “freshness” and it doesn’t affect the quality/taste, as they are baked a day before arrival to Singapore, and delivered to you on the same or next day.
It can last at least 2 weeks in the chiller compartment and 6 months in the freezer.
IF STORE IN CHILLER
Cut the portion you want and place them outside room temperature to thaw first for about 20 - 30 min before consuming.
Cling wrap the remaining portion before putting them back to the fridge (if possible, keep in airtight container)
IF STORE IN FREEZER
Cut the portion you want and place them outside at room temperature to thaw first for about 3 hrs before consuming.
