Been taking Origami classes for the past couple of months.....taught simple Origami to kids 7-13 yrs. Was a very enjoyable experience and it is a delight to the amazed expressions of children when the model takes shape in the final steps! It truly feels like doing magic with paper!!

Made this after many years. This is a folk art from Japan, a thread ball known as Temari. It is traditionally given as a gift to wish good luck. This is one of the simpler designs. It combines some of my favourite ideas of geometry, colours and reuse of material to make strikingly beautiful objects. They almost seem like a puzzle at times. Enjoyed making this one and there is definitely more to be made!

Finally found time to try this....a pillow case made out of my daughters favourite tshirts which she has outgrown! A smaller trial version of the tshirt quilt for my nephew I intend to work on soon!
