Greetings of peace, happiness, and limitless possibilities for 2026 to dear friends, family, and followers!
Wishing everyone an abundance of love, robust health, profound happiness, inner peace, and a deeper understanding and acceptance of self and each other.
As 2025 drew to a close on a informative, encouraging and enlightening note for TrueWeaves, I am thrilled to embark on a new chapter and share my journey with you.
Every year, I undertake a mission to explore a different state, immersing myself in their state level exhibitions, art and craft centers, and weaving communities to gain a knowledge of the nitty gritties of the craft, and develop profound appreciation for the exceptional skill and dedication of the artisans.
This year's expedition to Kanchipuram was nothing short of transformative, as I had the privilege of connecting with new innovative weavers, uncovering the latest design trends, and gaining invaluable insights from a multi-generational weaving master renowned for their exquisite pure silk and pure zari sarees. I am eager to share the knowledge and wisdom I acquired from this enriching experience, which included a comprehensive guided tour of the handloom weaving process, from yarn creation, dyeing, making design templates, choosing types of zari, weaving, finding defects and doing QAQC and upto to packing the finished saree.
Furthermore, I had the unique opportunity to connect with esteemed manufacturers of Indian ethnic wear from across the country at a By invite only B2B event, which proved to be a pivotal moment. This experience allowed me to witness firsthand how prominent clothing companies and manufacturers source and purchase their products, and I was able to identify and select a few manufacturers whose design taste, work quality n fabric quality and design sensibilities resonated with TrueWeaves' ethos. So you can look forward to some mesmerising collections pan India.
I am eternally grateful for God's blessings of 2025, which brought numerous successful exhibitions, new clients, and invaluable learning experiences. It's been a long-awaited post, and I'm thrilled to finally share it with you. I'll soon post, showcasing our new saree collections and the joy they bring to my world.
Please continue to support TrueWeaves on this journey, and I invite you to visit our exhibitions, drop by our home boutique, and share our posts with your loved ones. Every saree sold is a testament to the power of community, its an encouragement for me to continue exploring and experimenting, and brings me a step closer to realizing my dream of establishing TrueWeaves as a vibrant Art and Craft Hub. Godwilling !
