Journeying with so many mothers through bridal fittings has taught me so much as a mother myself.
As mothers, I think our natural instinct is often to voice our own preferences, to protect, to guide, and sometimes to hold on a little tighter than we realise.
Yet watching the mothers who walk closely with their daughters through these sessions constantly reminds me that there is also love in stepping back gently.

To support their daughters through such a pivotal season, even when it feels bittersweet.
To allow space for them to become fully themselves, while still being there every step of the way.

Real moments when a most supportive mommy teared up as she realised her little girl was about to become someone’s wife.
These moments linger with me.

We know many of our brides over the years have now become mothers themselves, and that feels especially meaningful to witness too.

Designing this for Pearline was a joy, largely because she came to us already knowing what felt right for her. We began with a clean, minimalist base in matte satin, letting the fabric move naturally along her frame. From there, we introduced a pleated tulle overlay to add softness and volume without overwhelming the silhouette.

What made the process especially smooth was time. Having the space to think, revisit ideas, and refine details over fittings allowed the gown to evolve thoughtfully.
Pearline, thank you for your openness, your trust, and the care you brought into every session. It truly meant a lot to us to create this with you.

When Joyce shared photos of her wedding at Brolga Hill Estate with us, we knew this was the right image to mark the beginning of a new year in this space.

Sometimes, it is a wedding setting that gently shapes a design. Joyce came to us with a clear vision, inspired by the venue and the wedding she had been dreaming of. This ivory liquid silk gown carries months of conversation, research, and care. We deliberated over the construction of the bustier, the placement of the basque waist, the rhythm of the skirt pleating. Together, we studied references, testing proportions, and refining each decision until it felt right for her.

In the end, good design is not about following precedents, but about choosing what works beautifully for her. Thank you, Joyce, for allowing us to be part of this journey and for sharing the joy of your vision brought to life.
