Made a new coin pouch with card slot for E as he broke the zipper pull of the one he was using. I was actually hoping that that pouch would last him through primary school, but I guess three years isn’t too bad considering how rough he can be.

I’ve been slowly working on the pencil cases for Teacher’s Day and the monotony sort of got to me. Took the weekend off pencil cases to sew up another . Finally cut into this stripey crinkly goodness from ! I’m really hoping that this top would be one of those that won’t require any ironing after coming out of the wash. Fingers crossed! 😬

I’m currently not taking orders but this was a request from a friend and fellow sewist who just rejoined the workforce after 5years of full-time mom-hood (how brave is she?!) and doesn’t have time to work on a new pouch sewing pattern. Her son loves cats and I hope he likes this pouch when he receives it.

Would like to add that it’s kind of stressful sewing for a sewist!!! Don’t examine the stitching too closely pls! 🤪

A lot of mum-life (for me) involves rushing around, being busy but with nothing to really show for at the end of the day. I think this could be one of the reasons why sewing is my jam. It’s a nice feeling to hold an end product, like “YES! I made this! I was productive today!”
I especially love making t-shirts for my kids, they are relatively quick, gratifying and a joy to see when worn. 😬
