Peranan Pak Andam termasuk:
• Menggayakan pakaian pengantin lelaki (songkok, samping, tanjak, dll.)
• Memastikan penampilan kemas, segak dan teratur
• Membantu dari segi adab dan susunan acara (terutama adat Melayu)
