Those who know me know I’m not really a big gathering person. But there are a few events with lots of people where I somehow feel at ease and completely at home. Guardians Festival is one of them ❤️ I was there last year and left with a very full heart.

It is happening right next to Kolpa river and an incredibly rich music, workshops and experience program.

This year I’ll be contributing to the program with two flower printing workshops — one for kids and one for adults. We’ll be using the Japanese tataki zome technique to create flower prints on fabric, making space for play, slowing down and simply being present with the flowers and the process.

Brinas Studio will also have a stand throughout the festival, where you can see, touch and try on my pieces in person.

Everything is moving at a slower pace these days. ✨ While my life has found a gentler rhythm, so has Brinas Studio. Stock is slowly becoming more limited. I do, however, have two of these beauties still available.

The Luxe kimono, crafted from incredibly soft bamboo silk (made in a closed-loop production process) and naturally dyed with my Lava Blush recipe.

For slow mornings, evening rituals, barefoot dancing, and moments that deserve their own soundtrack.

v poletni številki sva se s petro pogovarjali o tem kako načrtno upočasnjevat življenje. pa o tem kako zaupat življenju. in o začetkih Brinas Studio rojenega iz poguma, ki je vzklil iz mojega 6-mesečnega notranjega potovanja, ko sem bila (zaradi korone tudi dobesedno) zaprta v meditacijskem centru v Mehiki. no, in še o marsičem. delim prvo in zadnjo vprašanje. vsa ostala pa v tiskani različici.

prvi video je poleg teh strani v reviji čisto slučajno ujel še vse najpogostejše zvoke tega obdobja: Gabrielovo stokcanje, ventilator in ropotanje pribora. krasen povzetek teh dni!

i’ve been quieter here. you know why. it’s funny how priorities shift so naturally.

i do feel a strong pull away from socials lately, but i keep getting this gentle urge to come here and express a few things.

i started building Brinas back in 2021, after quitting my well-paid job, not really knowing where it was going to go. i only knew i deserved to give the little girl inside of me a chance to express herself creatively. to experiment. to be her own boss like she always wanted.

and it’s been such a ride. so much personal growth, heart-warming people along the way, and projects i once only dreamt of creating. i look back at it all with so much gratitude — for the courage to embark on this journey and to make it my work. i remember thinking it would take me about 3 months to earn enough and live from my small business. silly me! little did i know it would take 4 years (or maybe even more). but wow, am i grateful i didn’t give up.

i feel so calm and full entering this new chapter of life. like the little girl who once felt creatively blocked finally got her chance — and can now breathe, soften, and focus on family. i love that we live in a country that lets women spend a whole year with their baby. what a privilage! i’m so looking forward to this time. and also to whatever will emerge from this new, slow season.

if there was anyone here who got even a glimpse of inspiration — a glimpse of courage — from my story along the way… that is what matters most. that’s why i’ve been sharing it all. even the things that sometimes felt too vulnerable and raw.

i want to share my deep gratitude to you — for all your support throughout the year, especially these last months ❤️ thank you, thank you!
