Dhibane Kaab Foundation is a youth-led, non-profit organization based in Mogadishu, Somalia. Established with a vision to transform the local community, we focus on volunteerism, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
Dhibane Kaab Foundation waa urur ay hoggaamiyaan dhalinyarada oo aan faa'iido doon ahayn, kuna yaalla Muqdisho. Waxaan ka shaqaysaa is-xilqaanka, mas'uuliyadda bulshada, iyo horumarinta waarta.

To empower the community through education, health awareness, and environmental stewardship, while fostering a drug-free and peaceful society.

"My name is Osman Mohamed Omar, a second-year Business Administration student at the university of people and the founder of Dhibane Kaab Foundation. In a city like Mogadishu, leadership is not just about holding a title; it is about taking action where it is needed most.
One of the most significant challenges I tackled was the lack of community awareness regarding sanitation and waste management. Initially, many residents were unaware of the severe health risks posed by accumulated waste in public spaces. To address this, I mobilized a dedicated team of volunteers to launch a community-driven cleaning initiative. Every Friday, we conduct mass cleaning campaigns in high-traffic public areas, such as Lido Beach and various districts across the Banadir region.
Beyond the physical cleaning, my greatest achievement has been the shift in public mindset. Through our consistent efforts, the community has moved from indifference to active awareness. Today, people in these districts are conscious of the dangers of pollution and are taking collective responsibility for their environment.
In addition to our environmental work, Dhibane Kaab Foundation remains committed to providing free access to basic education and healthcare for the most vulnerable members of our society. As a business student, I am focused on building the organizational structure of my foundation to ensure its long-term sustainability. I am seeking to join this program to refine my leadership skills, network with global peers, and find innovative ways to scale our community impact in Somalia."
