Hon. Jacob Dau as Mp representing Ayat constituency no.9 (Ayat-Majakbaai) has initiated and implemented so many projects in his constituency. Below are the achievements made by Hon. Jacob Dau;
1. Installations of networks in Ayat East, Ayat Center and Ayat west.
2. Construction of schools.
3. Scholarship programs.
4. Construction of current Mayom Angok sub-payam headquarter. This project was later finished by majakbaai community but it initiated by Jacob Dau.
It is coherent to differentiate the leaders with services deliveries and non services deliverers. this is a response to those who said that Hon. Jacob Dau did not do anything at his constituency as MP.
However, Hon. Jacob Dau made a remarks during Hon. Ateny wek Ateny's mother funeral rite anniversary. his statement was misconceived and created a lot of controversial and hate speeches across social media. others levelled some unsubstantiated allegations against him like he was paid, some used abusive language like Con, food lover and many other things that doesn't describe his true personality as national leader rather than tarnished his reputation. but it is imperative to make some few clarifications, Hon. Jacob Dau was advising former Governor Amb. Garang Deng Aguer to always speak in manner that will make a Aweil community stay in harmony with other communities. not in a divisive Way. the honorable was worried of further bloodshed, if there are some cohort with hidden agenda and attach it with Garangdit's case should government retialate. this is base current political tensions.
He was also advising Amb. to protect his legacy as national leader.
He did not mean to say something bad about Amb. Garang Deng Aguer.
On the other hand, politics is about ideologies, interest and calculations.Hon. has a constitutional rights to support any politician or express his opinion as National leader.
