As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting more than planning.

Building Zamsee has reminded me that not everything meaningful needs to grow fast, scale big, or be everywhere. Some things need time, presence, and intention.

Zamsee was created from a quiet place — the belief that clothing can accompany women while they are becoming, rather than define them or keep up with trends. And over time, I’ve come to accept that this also means allowing the brand itself to remain small, personal, and deeply intentional.

Moving forward, Zamsee will continue to be built slowly.
In small batches.
With timeless design.
Without the pressure to become “like the others.”

Because meaning needs space.
And becoming cannot be rushed.

"Zamsee is my way of becoming myself.
I started this brand from a love of beauty and clothes, and, honestly, without knowing the world I was stepping into. My background and career is in IT (which I love), but fashion has been with me since childhood. I used to sketch dresses and models, then life moved on. During the pandemic, the sketches came back, and so did a feeling I had missed.

Zamsee was born from within. From changing my own style and not finding the quality I wanted. From wanting to reuse deadstock fabrics and give them a second life. From a wish to fund the future through what we make and how we make it.

The name carries my heart. ZAM are my daughter’s initials and also “earth,” SEE means “water” in German. Together they are whole, like the brand aims to be.

This journey is challenging and beautiful. It has taught me resilience and asks me to be braver every day. I can see now that one of Zamsee’s purposes was to help me find my voice, to show up, to be seen, and to be vulnerable in rooms I didn’t yet dare to enter.

It’s about inspiring my daughter to live in a greener world and follow her dreams. It’s about supporting women to embrace every side of themselves and let clothes help them shine. I don’t know exactly where this road leads, but I am grateful for every step. Thank you for walking with me." - Ancuta, Zamsee Founder
