For six years, VPADA has transformed creativity and Thai craftsmanship into handmade sandals filled with character, detail, and stories.

As a partner, Sandals World is proud to celebrate this special milestone and to share another step we are taking together toward more thoughtful materials through SW GREEN.

🌿 So, What’s BIO EVA?

Traditional EVA foam commonly relies on fossil-based raw materials. BIO EVA replaces part of those fossil-derived feedstocks with renewable bio-based sources such as sugarcane.

The journey starts with something surprisingly familiar:

Sugarcane 🌱 → Bio-Ethanol → Bio-Based EVA → Sandals 👡

For Sandals World, BIO EVA represents more than a material change. It is part of our journey to explore lower-carbon material choices while keeping the comfort and flexibility people expect from everyday sandals.

Combined with Thai natural rubber outsoles, comfortable contoured footbeds, and the beauty of handmade craftsmanship, we want every step to bring together:

Thoughtful steps begin with what’s beneath your feet. 🌿

Meet SW GREEN by Sandals World, our material and sole development project that brings the beauty of handmade craftsmanship together with thoughtful material choices and everyday comfort. 🤍

We start with BIO EVA made in part from sugarcane-derived materials, developing foam soles to replace some petroleum-based raw materials. We combine these with Thai natural rubber outsoles and contoured footbeds designed to follow the shape of your feet. 👣

From there, our partner brands, artisans, and local communities bring their creativity to life through macramé, crochet, and distinctive patterns sharing the stories of Thai craftsmanship through every pair. 🧶

A pair of handmade sandals is more than the design you see. It also reflects the care behind the materials we choose and the feeling of every step you take.
