IT ALL STARTED WHEN...

Back in 10th grade we had to choose six subjects we wished to study for the next two years as part of the IB program, and one of the subjects I chose was ART. We received art homework over the summer, and as most teenagers I left my homework for the last two weeks of summer. The project was about finding themes you would like to explore and interpreting your thoughts into

art. I called my grandmother in despair, hoping for some inspiration. She started speaking of her childhood in Kenya, and spoke so warmly about her faint memories of the elephants. As I sat in the living room pleased with my work, I told my mother, “How funny would it be to see people walking around with this print on their T-shirts?”. I used to have a blog I liked updating back then and so I had photoshopped the file, removing the white background, and refining the print. Surprisingly enough, my mother took my file and she sent it to a local printing company. Guess who wore it to school the next day? The response was overwhelming from my classmates, friends and family. It started off with one elephant. And now there are 18. As I have multiplied the designs, I wish to multiply the business. I wish to multiply the amount of elephants I can help. I wish to multiply the love I can spread one T-shirt at a time. I know I can’t end the poaching of elephants in one day. But each and every effort counts. You can change an elephants life. You can do it. One T-shirt at a time. Yes, it does take time, but what doesn’t take time? Take 5 minutes out of your day and do something good. It’s simple. It is not as complicated as it sounds. Be part of the change. Be part of something small. Be part of something big. Just be a part and I can assure you, you will want to do more.

Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located approximately 60km from the city of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. Founded in July 2014, it is a joint initiative between members of the Karen hill-tribes and Chiang Mai locals who were concerned about the welfare of elephants in Thailand.

The ban allowed some populations to recover, especially where elephants were adequately protected.

This weekend, 11 elephants died after falling into a waterfall trying to save a drowned baby elephant 😭💔 people could hear the screams of the 2 surviving elephants crying for help as they got stuck trying to save their family. Elephants are capable of experiencing grief & we can only imagine the distress these elephants are feeling 😔🐘 We must remember that Asian elephants are endangered, with only a few thousand left in Thailand, we need to do everything we can to protect them ❤

Our Story

We are doing our bit for the planet and we want to share some knowledge about our range of organic clothing. Our earth positive t-shirts with an original elephant printed on, are manufactured solely using renewable green energy from wind and solar power. We are reducing the carbon footprint one shirt at a time. Our shirts are 100% organic cotton and we recommend to save the planet by washing cool and lining dry.

Our passion in bringing you a great shirt starts with the fair wear garments we use. We believe in no use of child labour, no use of forced labour, safe and healthy working conditions, legal labour contracts, payment of living wage, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, no discrimination against employees and no excessive hours of work, all which are reflected in our shirts. All of our garments available are manufactured to the highest standard and the 'EP' range we use contain a size label with the EarthPositive logo.
