📢 Official Announcement from Chingmai Gem Testing Laboratory
To align with international standards (CIBJO) and ensure transparency, starting from October 1, 2025, the Chiangmai Gem Testing Laboratory will update the wording used in its official reports.
🔹 Changes in Report Wording
The identification field of the report will change from:
“Laboratory-Grown (name)” to: “Synthetic (name)”
(e.g., Synthetic Ruby, Synthetic Diamond, Synthetic Sapphire)
🔹 Declaration in Comment Section
The terms “Laboratory-Grown” and “Laboratory-Created” will still be mentioned in the comment section of the report,
declared as “alternative trade terms to Synthetic.”
✅ Purpose of the Change
- To provide clear and accurate information for consumers
- To align with global gemological standards
- To support transparency across the gemstone industry

📢 ประกาศอย่างเป็นทางการจากห้องปฏิบัติการตรวจสอบอัญมณี CGT
เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานสากล (CIBJO) และเพื่อความโปร่งใส
ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 ตุลาคม 2568 เป็นต้นไป
ห้องปฏิบัติการ CGT จะมีการปรับถ้อยคำที่ใช้ใน ใบรายงานผลการตรวจสอบ
🔹 การเปลี่ยนแปลงในช่อง Identification
เดิม: “Laboratory-Grown + (ชื่ออัญมณี)”
เปลี่ยนเป็น: “Synthetic + (ชื่ออัญมณี)”
(เช่น Synthetic Ruby, Synthetic Diamond, Synthetic Sapphire)
🔹 การระบุเพิ่มเติมใน Comment Section
คำว่า “Laboratory-Grown” และ “Laboratory-Created”
จะยังคงถูกกล่าวถึงในส่วน Comment Section ของรายงาน
โดยระบุว่าเป็น “คำทางการค้าที่ใช้แทนคำว่า Synthetic”

- เพื่อให้ข้อมูลที่ ถูกต้องและชัดเจน แก่ผู้บริโภค
- เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับ มาตรฐานอัญมณีศาสตร์สากล
- เพื่อ สนับสนุนความโปร่งใส ในอุตสาหกรรมอัญมณี
