Zegna 15 MilMil 15 is one of the most luxurious and exclusive suit fabrics globally. Woven by the Italian Lanificio Ermenegildo Zegna, it uses rare superfine Australian Merino wool measuring just 15 microns in diameter. This results in an incredibly lightweight, silky, and soft cloth comparable to cashmere.
Features and specifications of the 15 MilMil 15 fabric include:
Incredible Fineness: At 15 microns (or 15.2 microns), the fibers are substantially finer than standard fine wool (which usually measures up to 19.5 microns).
Yarn Construction: It often features double-twisted, high-count yarns (e.g., Nm 2/130), where one kilogram of raw material yields 130 kilometers of spun yarn.
Drape & Feel: The tight worsted weave and exceptional fiber length offer an exquisite, fluid drape well-suited for high-end, bespoke tailoring and important formal occasions.
Care Instructions: Due to the delicacy and premium nature of the fibers, it requires professional dry cleaning only and should never be washed in water or machine-dried.
