November 10th, is the day we commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who lit the torch of independence and enlightenment for a nation, with eternal respect, gratitude, and a profound longing.
His life not only saved a country from the brink with his military genius but also reshaped a society with his ideas that were far ahead of his time.
🇹🇷 Architect of Salvation
Following the devastation of World War I, with the homeland under occupation, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk landed in Samsun and launched the National Struggle. Through the congresses of Erzurum and Sivas, he organized the power of the national will. As Commander-in-Chief, he led the War of Independence, achieving the impossible, breaking the chains of servitude, and restoring the independence of the Turkish nation. He was not just a commander, but a leader who nurtured hope and created a state from the ashes.
“My humble body will surely turn to dust one day, but the Republic of Turkey shall live forever.”
🇹🇷 Revolutionary and Modern Leader
After the military victory, Atatürk established his true great work, the Republic of Turkey (October 29, 1923). However, his vision was not limited to founding a state; it was to transform that state into a secular, contemporary, and modern structure.
Reforms in the Political Field: With the abolition of the Sultanate, the proclamation of the Republic, and the abolition of the Caliphate, he unconditionally placed national sovereignty in the hands of the nation.
In the Field of Law: He replaced the Sharia law with a modern and secular legal system (including the Turkish Civil Code) based on the equality of men and women.
In Education and Culture: Through the Law on the Unification of Education (Tevhid-i Tedrisat), the Alphabet Reform, and the Nation's Schools, he fought ignorance and aimed to raise a generation guided by science.
In Social Life: Innovations such as granting political rights to women and the Hat and Dress Revolution modernized the social structure and paved the way for reaching the level of contemporary civilization.
Atatürk is a universal leader who inspired the struggle for independence not only in Turk but also among all oppressed nations
