If you ever asked her how she made it and what she did to become as strong as she is..
She would simply smile and reply,
“I wasn’t given a choice.”
She was never blessed with a privileged life and an easy path, but she was blessed with the journey that she had to fight and battle through just to survive…
And that did more for her as a person than anything easy ever could.
She never used to think that was a blessing until she started realizing how strong she had become-
How the things that once tore her apart…
Now no longer did.
When everyone would praise her strength and resiliency, she understood her blessings more clearly than ever.
She stopped wishing for an easier life and began to build a stronger back.
She evolved.
She grew.
She got stronger, each and every day.
And one day, she woke up and realized who and what she had become:
Unstoppable.
She would do anything for those she loved and she would never give up on her dreams.
She’d made all the wrong decisions, bad choices and loved all the worst people…
And that is what made her the brave soul she had become.
Her courage wasn’t forged in the flames of wishes, but in the fires of life that tried to burn her down…
So she became the very thing that threatened to tear her apart.
She didn’t just walk through the fire, she became it.
With a heart full of passion, a spirit borne of struggle and an undying strength,
She rose from the ashes of an ordinary life and evolved into something extraordinary.
She still may not have all the answers and there are still plenty of bad days, but they don’t ruin her anymore.
Now, she just puts her head down and keeps going.
She’s more than broken, a survivor or a warrior.
She’s a beautiful soul with a heart of gold..
One who has finally found her place in this world.
Oh, and one more thing about that woman…
She is me.
