Some cute little baby things I made recently, because… we’re expecting a baby! 👶🏻💕

Classes will still be open until mid-July, then we’ll be moving (still in Taipei) and nesting before the baby arrives. Please continue to feel free to message me for class updates in the future 🥰 I’ll do my best to reply soon!

This tank top started with a sketch, measurements, pattern making, cutting, pressing, sewing, serging, and more pressing and sewing to finish it up 🪡

Sewing is a slow sport 🐢 and so satisfying when all the little details come together to make something wearable and personal 😌

Lovely flower hair scrunchie 🖤🌼 she made the pattern by tracing an IKEA cup coaster for the petals👌🏻 the best part is it can be styled two ways!

Merry Christmas Eve ✨🎄

Drinking tea, enjoying cronuts, and good conversation = the perfect recipe for a relaxing sewing day. This was the last class of this year, and I’m excited to see what more we can make together in 2024 💫

The stockings we made during Christmas workshops last year are up 🥰 it’s so nice to get to bring them out again! And I’m looking forward to making an ornament in the hand-sewing workshop this weekend to accompany this little angel 🎶

Happy December!🎄Last week I co-hosted a sewing workshop outside of Fashion Recess studio, it was so fun teaching a larger group!

I want to keep the Christmas fun going~ so I’m opening up an adult hand-sewing workshop to make ornaments in anticipation of Christmas ✨

Learn some hand sewing stitches and make an ornament to hang on your Christmas tree as a memory for 2023!

Happy Halloween! 👀✨This is the first year I made a costume, and I decided to keep it easy with a felt Mrs. Potato Head from Toy Story!

I didn’t have a tan-coloured dress, so I took an extra step to make a maxi dress (with pockets!) that I can continue wearing after the holiday, once I’ve taken the felt pieces off 😂 I also threw together a quick costume for my husband to match!

It was an epic weekend and I’m looking forward to getting another chance to dress up and make another costume next year 🥰

💭 Do any of you remember a sample I made a few months ago? It all started with a sketch and one of my favorite patternmaking books, Pattern Magic by Tomoko Nakamichi.

✂️ It's so fun to try new patternmaking methods and adapt them for use in my designs and see them become something wearable! After making an initial sample, I made changes to the pattern until the dress fit me perfectly. I made a matching bow for my husband to adorn, paired with floral vintage pants from . He was a good sport 😁

📷 Then I guess you can tell we had a photo shoot! These beautiful photos were taken by to celebrate our 1 year anniversary 🎀

This is sort of a late official update but I now have 3 desks and 3 sewing machines - to accommodate 3️⃣ students! ✨

You can bring a sibling plus a friend to class and bond over the sewing projects you make together 👧🏻👧🏻👧🏻

I’m seriously so impressed by this lady 🤩 This student always brings multiple projects to Open Studio classes and gets 👏🏻 things 👏🏻 done 👏🏻

This light jacket was based on another jacket she already owns and loves. Why not have multiples of your favorites? 😍🏆

✨ New ✨ Adult Class project: Tote Bag #2!
This is a step up from the trial class tote bag! In this project, you can learn how to piece together different-sized fabric scraps to make a one-of-a-kind patchwork tote bag! You can use fabrics available in the studio, or bring your own to mix and match.

🧵 3-hour class, all materials included. Two student minimum to open a class, so invite a friend to join you!
