ISLAND MODE | Solitude as Radiance / The Iceland Collection Project
在 楊躲的創作裡，「冰島」不是地理名詞，而是一種社交狀態的隱喻：每個人都是一座島——有邊界、有潮汐、有自己的氣候。
島的存在雖貌似孤獨，但所謂的孤獨感，我們不界定為灰色調，卻可以很亮、很飽和，甚至在心裡發著光。 《ISLAND MODE｜孤寂為燦爛 / 冰島深藏計劃》中，我們將會走進一個「群島」空間：許多不必解釋的情緒在裡面彼此照面，安靜但不沉重；色彩像把沉默翻譯成可被看見的存在感。我們都不需要說很多，只要走進來，就會知道——原來獨處也能很燦爛。
In Yang Duo’s artistic universe, “Iceland” is not a geographical destination but a metaphor for a contemporary social condition: each of us is an island—defined by our own boundaries, tides, and inner climates. While an island may appear solitary, solitude here is not rendered in muted greys. It can be luminous, saturated, and quietly incandescent—glowing from within.
Visitors are invited into an archipelago-like environment where emotions may recognize one another without the need for explanation. The space is calm, never heavy; color becomes a language that translates silence into a visible sense of presence. You won’t need to say much—simply entering is enough to feel it: aloneness, too, can be brilliant.
《冰島深藏計畫》 07/04（六），開幕當日，我們將有一場《冰島深藏計畫》 只要出席，留下自己的「冰島密碼 I-XX」( 你對孤獨的定義--不用交出隱私、不必講得很深 )——不只是文字，在展場現場的一舉一動，將有機會成為《冰島深藏計畫》作品生成的養分，並在本展的第二階段( 2026.08.01)發表。
The Iceland Collection Project
On Saturday, July 4 (Opening Day), the exhibition expands into a participatory chapter: The Iceland Collection Project—an invitation to collect and keep a personal sense of solitude as one would treasure a work of art: held with care, not exposed, not performed. By attending, you may receive your “Iceland Code (I-XX)” and leave a brief definition of solitude (three keywords or a single sentence; no private disclosure, no depth required). Beyond text, your presence—small gestures, conversations, the atmosphere you help shape—may become material that nourishes the project’s evolving works, to be revealed in the exhibition’s second phase on August 1, 2026.
