National cuisine in different eras was influenced by other cultures. So, around the 12th century, buckwheat appeared among Asian traders. From it they made porridge, sourdough, ground flour and baked pancakes and even pancakes.
In the 15th century, the rapid development of trade relations with a variety of states, including overseas ones, began. Potatoes, beans, pumpkins and corn were brought from America, melons and mulberries from Central Asian countries. In this way, the menu of Ukrainians was enriched.
