If you want to discover French confectionery classics, I advise you to start with the Opera cake. This famous coffee-chocolate treat has long been a hallmark of the Parisian patisserie Dalloyau and is a complex dessert of three layers of Gioconda almond biscuit with coffee buttercream and dark chocolate ganache in the filling.
