We’ve been quiet for a while. Singapore and Japan are the reason.
Red Dot Design Museum, and this stopped us: “Mia,” a robotic prosthetic hand from Italy. Every finger moves independently. It performs almost every human grasp. The proportions are anthropomorphically correct, but the materials stay honestly technical, no attempt to imitate skin.
That’s the whole design brief in one object: solve the function first, let the form say what it actually is.
