When making cakes, start by baking a biscuit base. Beat the eggs until a volumetric foam is formed, then, without turning off the mixer, gradually add sugar - the volume of the mixture should double. Sift flour and baking powder into the resulting mass, add cocoa powder and knead the dough.
For baking the base of the cakes, it is better to use a wide form, the height of the biscuit should be 1-1.5 cm. Lay parchment paper on the bottom of the form, pour the dough and smooth it. Bake the sponge cake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. The finished base must be cooled.
