It is home to a wide variety of vibrant African fabrics, lovely and helpful staff, highly qualified tailors and a very welcoming atmosphere. Edro was established by the entrepreneurial Rose Nalumansi in 2007. Since 2007 Rose has, bit by bit, created a strong team of four tailors, has found an ideal location for her shop and created a strong sense of loyalty, camaraderie and teamwork amongst those
who work at Edro. Tailoring, fashion and fabrics has been in Roses’ family for generations. She was taught to sew by her mother, who worked as a fashion designer. These two strong women were extremely influential and inspirational for Rose. The tailors that Rose works with have experience working with several different types of fabrics: African fabrics, plain cotton and even linen. They understand different styles and are able to cater to their customer’s wants. While Rose is the backbone of the business; Eddy, the head tailor, is the hidden gem. Eddy and his wife, both of whom work at Edro, are both challenged with the physical disability of being deaf. Eddy is an incredibly talented tailor who’s eye for detail and perfection is uncanny. So, what makes Edro different from all other tailors in Kampala? The quality. Simply put, the other tailors do not match the quality of Edro. Edro ensures that their customers only need one fitting. Additionally, since Edro is made up of a team of five tailors, it is able to make the clothing quickly and efficiently. The customer always comes first at Edro. The Edro team caters to their customers’ needs, the team listens to what they are looking for and try our best to help deliver that. The Edro shop has new fabric each two weeks coming from all over East and West Africa – there is always a variety to choose from! https://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&q=1000+cups+of+coffee,+nakasero,+kampala&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF-8&hl=en
