To most of you, she's one of the cute twins that modeled for my social media posts and filled in working when mom life wouldn't allow me to honor the hours that I said I'd be open.

To me, she's one of the cute twins that I've loved since the day they were born! I'll post some proof in the comments 🥰

Afton puts 100% of her heart into everything that she does, so everyone that was sad to lose a place to shop in town can rest easy. I can't think of a time that feels more appropriate than Thanksgiving to share that this will be the last holiday season for The Bluebird 💙

When we dove head first into this adventure, we knew that it would just be a chapter in our story and not a forever thing. Our youngest daughter was one at the time (realizing while writing this how crazy that makes me seem) and our oldest was four. Gemma ran a paint brush in the very beginning stages of the renovation, Quinn has taken naps on the backroom floor and they have both gotten to watch their mom live out a dream and check an item off of her bucket list 🩷 Our girls are 8 & 5 now, they have grown up in the boutique.. but we're at a point where their activity and social calendars aren't getting any less busy.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the most convenient times for people to shop are evenings and weekends.. those also happen to be the times that it's most important for me to be present and be a mom. The boutique has been put on the back burner for longer than I'd like to admit, and the fact that I can't give it the attention that it deserves anymore has been heavy on my heart. Having to adjust hours so frequently and close without fair warning has felt like a disservice to our community and our customers.

I'm not too proud to know when to say goodbye, even when at times things are still so good. Family will always come first, so letting this go doesn't feel sad.. just bittersweet. This has been the most fun experience and I will be forever grateful for the support I've received along the way and the relationships that have been built 💛

*Things will be business as usual through the holidays and into the new year. An actual 'closing date' will be decided when life slow down within the next few months. We have lots of new goodies out for Small Business Saturday and plenty of stuff still on the way! The only immediate change is that we won't be offering gift cards going forward. We WILL still honor the cards that are still out there, so use them up!!
