MotoAmerica stats on Josh: 1 — BPR Racing Yamaha’s Josh Hayes has worn the #1 plate seven times across his AMA/MotoAmerica road racing career: four AMA Superbike titles (2010, 2011, 2012, 2014), back-to-back AMA Formula Xtreme championships (2006–2007), and an AMA Superstock crown in 2003.
3 — Sitting three points away from third place in this year’s Supersport championship, Hayes is also just three wins shy of reclaiming the all-time wins record from former Yamaha Superbike teammate Cameron Beaubier.
4 — A recurring number for Josh: born on April 4th he leads a family of four (wife Melissa, son Hawk, daughter Bretley), four Superbike titles to his name, and in his fourth-ever professional race — Daytona, 1999 — he picked up his first AMA win. His first-ever Superbike season was in 2004 and he has ridden for all four Japanese manufacturers.
