Today we checked out of Harbor Center for the last time. Watch til the end to see our new home, it’s not too far away…👀

We walked these empty rooms one more time before we left — and the memories just kept coming.

This is where my kids grew up. Where we packed orders as they ran around and played.

It’s where we applied to Kūhana, joined We By Rising Tide, and filmed for our Mana Up Showcase. This is where we opened our warehouse doors so you could shop in person while the kids were in school.

As our biz grew, so did our ʻohana. This place held so many of our most important moments.

When you support a small, ʻohana-run business, this is what you’re a part of. We’re part of your community — and you’re part of ours. You support our kids. You’re helping raise a generation who sees, day to day, what it looks like to run a small biz in Hawaiʻi — to create with intention, and to find ways to share our culture with the world.

Harbor Center was the start of something so special for us.

We’re closing one door and opening the next.
Mahalo for being part of the ride — here’s to the next chapter.

Can you guess our new neighborhood?

In true Keiki Dept fashion, we decided to move right before one of our biggest events of the year. The timing maybe wasn’t perfect but just like with the kids and ever changing schedules or needs, we work with what we have in the time we have and we made it happen.

We closed a chapter of the Keiki Dept as we marked 10 years in biz. Harbor Center has been our home for 5 years. We took a chance on our biz and signed a lease, not knowing how it would change our lives.

I’m so happy to say we aren’t closing the doors but just opening some new ones.

Here’s to new opportunities and the next chapter of our biz…reveal coming soon

What a weekend at Ho’omau Market!!!

Mahalo to everyone who came out to the Blaisdell to see us and all the other small businesses — for waiting in line to get in, braving the crowds and for catching up and sharing all of your stories with us. I love getting to meet all of you, and seeing your keiki rock our products is so special.

This was our last big event of the year as we decided not to do Made in Hawaiʻi this year. As our keiki have gotten older, doing these events has become more challenging and it was a hard decision to make. It only seems right our send off for the year would be at Hoʻomau.

To all of you we’ve come to know over the years and the new faces we met this weekend — mahalo for showing up for us and the other businesses. There’s a lot being said about Hawaiʻi small business right now, but one thing is for sure: this market truly showcases some of the best who are out here trying to make a living while creating products that showcase our culture — and staying mindful about what we do.

Mahalo to Kailee of MahinaMade and the whole Ho’omau Market crew! Can’t wait for the next one!!!

We don’t know when our next in-person event will be, so for now, see you online.

A hui hou! Until we meet again. 🌿

Day 1 of Ho’omau Market was amazing! The music in the air, the buzz of the crowd, the catching up with familiar faces you’ve met over the years. It’s a market where vendors know get to know their customers and where you see so many of the small biz owners talking story and catching up on life.

We are so grateful for all of you who came down and we are back again for Day 2! Hope to see you here for the final day of Ho’omau Market!

And a big mahalo to my crew! We had some new faces this year in the booth helping out! 😁

It was load in day for Hoʻomau and I am so excited. Maybe it was the exhaustion from the weeks of prep or moving, but I could feel the energy in the air as we reunited with our small biz friends!

There is something really special about Ho’omau Market. Maybe it’s the curation that goes into it each vendor there, or maybe it’s that there are so many Native Hawaiian owned biz or maybe it’s because we all celebrate Hawaiian culture in our own way. If there is one market every year I tell people they have to go to, it’s this one!

If you are on Oahu I hope to see you this weekend at the Blaisdell!!!

Itʻs a family affair getting ready for Ho’omau Market.

The kids are on break and finding their own ways to “help” — mostly by making friends with the mannequins.

Come see us this weekend at Ho’omau Market. We are right by the entrance in booth F03! Same spot as last year.

The whole ʻohana of mannequins will be there!

Kalo is where our family’s journey really began.

Learning how to plant huli, growing our first māla, our first harvest — it was through kalo that we started to reconnect with our Hawaiian culture. So when it came time to figure out what would represent our brand, it was without a doubt kalo.

That’s why the Hawaiian Loʻi print means so much to us for our 10-year. Weʻre so grateful to have this print designed by native Hawaiian block print artist .moana.

We turned it into pieces for the whole ʻohana — Kapa Moe swaddles, bamboo coveralls, tank rompers, sun hoodies, mesh shorts, and boardshorts. Something for everyone in the ʻohana.

See it in person first at this weekend. Online drop Sunday, June 14th at 10:30am HST.

One more thing — our Pili Outdoor collection (the sun hoodies + mesh shorts) will only be available at Ho’omau Market. You won’t find those online until after, so come see us if you’ve got your eye on them or a certain size you are hoping to get, itʻs a very limited drop.

sneak peek 👀

You are going to love our anniversary print on our kapa moe swaddles even if you donʻt have a baby…and you’ll get to see it (and feel it) for the first time at the Blaisdell this weekend.

But itʻs not coming in just our kapa moe, we also have it on our bamboo tank rompers, coveralls (yup we brought this style back), and our Pili Outdoor Collection — sun hoodies & mesh shorts for youth AND adults, and our keiki 4-way stretch boardshorts. You’ve been asking us to bring some of these styles and weʻre here for it! 🙌🏽

Oh, and there’s a second print we haven’t shown anyone yet.

Clue: it’s perfect for summer days at the beach. 🌊 🐙

Keep an eye out for it on our feed or come see it in person first.

Come find us at Hoʻomau — we’re right near the entrance in booth F03.
