I did it. My dream of buying a house in Aiken, South Carolina finally came true.

This property has been over two years in the making. When I first moved from Los Angeles to South Carolina in 2024, I considered moving to Aiken for its equestrian culture, but ended up choosing Charleston.

However, upon my first visit to Aiken, I fell in love with the small town feel, the friendly people, the horses, and the history. I knew then, that one day I wanted to own a vacation rental home here and become a part of this community.

But getting to this point took more determination than expected. It was a roller coaster of emotions, self-doubt, sleepless nights, and financial uncertainty.

In Jan 2025, I decided to sell the first property I ever bought, a condo in Los Angeles, and use those funds in a 1031 exchange to purchase the Aiken property.

I had to pay over $10,000 to buy out my tenants in LA last year, then that empty property, although beautifully upgraded and well cared for took 6 months to close due to reasons out of my control (and a terrible buyers agent - you handled her like a champion 🏆.)

When I found this property in Aiken, it was all riding on the condo closing. Real estate deals fall apart for reasons out of our control. It’s just part of the game. Each day brings new curve balls thrown at you.

Monday I got the news that the seller would not extend our contract to purchase the house in Aiken. For nearly 48 hours, my team and I raced the clock to close on time. Just after 6 pm last night, I last I finally received the news that we had made the deadline.

It still hasn’t hit me yet as I hit the ground running to get this property up and running as a rental in less than 2 weeks.

I have been an influencer now for over 14 years and I can tell you that this industry has changed so much since I first started in 2012.

Sometimes I feel like I’m out of the loop or that I don’t know what to post even though I have tens of thousands of photos from years of content creation.

My content has taken more of a home decor + DIY approach these last two years since moving to Charleston because to be honest, I just don’t go out as much. I’m a homebody now. But this girl still loves to get dressed up and put a banging outfit together!

I’ve just been navigating other businesses the last year that brings to life two of my favorite hobbies: horseback riding and home decor. So much of my time these last few months has been working on . But I find myself reminiscing about past partnerships, travels, and creativity they spark in me to create content.

Fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and home decor will always be my top priorities for my brand. But I’d love to hear from you if there’s certain kinds of content that you want to see more of? For now I just post what comes to mind. Thank you for following along all these years.

I’m having a strong desire to be in Europe right now. Walking along the streets imagining life there 100 years ago. Sitting at a cafe, sipping a coffee and watching the people pass by. Or indulging at an antique market figuring out how to bring all the pieces I love home.

My plans for this year haven’t gone exactly as I thought they would, and I’ve learned to be open with the timeline in the process. But I’m also not above buying a last minute flight to visit the French Riviera again and spend days in the countryside.

My equestrian-inspired project is finally in the design phase!

Right now I am working on the outdoor patio, and I want to create a space that invites you to sit outside under the market lights with a beautiful stone paver patio and a fire pit.

As you might recall, I retired my entire shower using and I’m loving the look of some of their porcelain field tiles and especially the limestone to get that cozy English cottage aesthetic.

I’m going to order a few samples before making my final selection. Follow along to see this project come to life at !
