Help a fellow Northside vendor out and spread the word. We all lost money before the closure, and we all have retail PTSD. A lot of us are seriously considering never returning to stores.
🌳 The Warm Fuzzy Tree Is Looking for a New Home
Many of you have noticed that I have not posted about Warm Fuzzies since leaving the Northside Marketplace in January.
After being part of the Marketplace since it opened nearly ten years ago, I quietly chose not to renew my lease. Almost $5,000 from my product sales remain unpaid to me. I hoped the situation would eventually be resolved, but it has not been. Northside Marketplace has since announced that it will permanently close.
This is not the ending I imagined for Warm Fuzzies, but it does leave me with one very special question:
Where should the Warm Fuzzy Tree grow next?
The silver tree with light-up clouds was designed and created as the centerpiece of the Warm Fuzzies display. It held my handmade, adoptable Warm Fuzzies and became a little world of its own - t was their origin story. I invested an enormous amount of time, care, and money into creating it, with a conservative replacement value of approximately $3,000.
Because I do not plan to return to public retail, I am now inviting serious offers for the complete display.
The Warm Fuzzy Tree could become:
✨ A magical installation in the children’s section of a library, school, therapy center, hospital, family attraction, or community space
✨ A whimsical feature for a boutique, event venue, photography studio, or creative business
✨ An unforgettable centerpiece for a private playroom or imaginative home
✨ A new home for the remaining Warm Fuzzies, which may also be included as part of an arrangement
This is a substantial, one-of-a-kind installation, so relocation, setup, included pieces, and other details would need to be discussed with the buyer.
Please send me a private message if you are seriously interested, represent an organization that may be a good fit, or know someone who might give the Warm Fuzzy Tree a wonderful second chapter.
Sharing this post could help it find exactly the right home. 💛
