Put some respect on the name

It's not just Ohio State University. It's THE Ohio State University. A lot of people wonder why people emphasize the word "the" when saying the name. 3 reasons: First (according to websters dictionary), when saying "the", if the word that follows it begins with a vowel sound it is pronounced "thee". Second, if you want to add emphasis to a word you would pronounce it with the long E as well. Third reason why we say it like that is, well, lets be honest here.....IT JUST SOUNDS AWESOME!!!
