Hello Akron. We’ve decided to sell our house within walking distance to Highland Square. Admittedly it does need some repairs and updates as it had long term renters the past 11 years since we moved to California. It already has had a pre-inspection. Although we no longer have Revival or will have this home in Akron we still have so many of you we still call friends keeping us forever connected to the Rubber City. If you ever find yourself traveling through Joshua Tree, California stop by and say hi!

Hey there Akron, OH! It’s been a few years since we closed up Revival. Woah...Where has the time gone? Although we’ve been in Joshua Tree, CA for many years we’ve missed being part of the Highland Square community. You are the ones that made our 14 years in the neighborhood achievable. We still have our store here in Yucca Valley, Hoof & The Horn, although we now have been shuttered 63 days since being deemed a non-essential business. If you have the means to shop with us on our web store it would be a great help to some Ohio ex-pats. If that’s not possible sharing our info to your group of friends is equally meaningful. We still proudly fly our Ohio flag on our shop wall. Word has it our old space on West Market St. has opened up! 😉

Just wanted to say thank you to all of our wonderful and loyal customers throughout the years! It was with a heavy heart that I made the decision late last year to close Revival this year. For many of my regulars, you know that I was struggling with health issues related to being on my feet seven days a week for more than half the year. It was physically and mentally taxing having to deal with multiple doctor appointments a week and then having to be at the store all the time. Ever since my brother moved to California five years ago to pursue his own dreams, I have been working nearly everyday without a vacation or days off. I have officially reached burnout mode. It was also a year of personal growth and soul searching as to what I would like to do with the rest of my life moving forward with hopefully a healthy prognosis. I have always wanted to be more involved in the Akron community as well as volunteering my time for events and issues that are near and dear to me. I always felt bad when I couldn’t attend or help out at events because I had to be at the store. The donated gift cards or merchandise to various organizations on behalf of Revival, although I’m sure appreciated, always left me feeling a bit detached from all the amazing things going on around me. I’m excited to delve into a new career and have already registered for my first volunteer opportunity at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. I look forward to seeing all you local “do-gooders” out and about in the near future. It has been a fantastic and memorable journey.

Hello Akron and those who may have moved beyond the borders of the heart shaped state!

Adam here. I don't know how many people who still follow this page remember me, but I started Revival with my sister Robyn back in 2004. I would like to thank you for the many years of support. You welcomed us to Highland Square and allowed us to take our first crack at being small business owners. Through our West Market Street storefront we made many great friendships, some even took us in like we were family. As our thirteen year run comes to an end, I need to thank you again for making the Square so warm and inviting and allowing us to be part of your community!!!

Since the fall of 2012, I've been living in the High Desert of Southern California near Joshua Tree National Park, where my wife and I opened a new store called Hoof & The Horn. If you are ever find yourselves in the area please stop by and say hello. We love seeing old faces and we love talking to people from the Midwest. We all know Ohio can be cold and dreary this time of year, so if you find yourselves needing to sun it up on the West Coast we're just a relatively short drive from Palm Springs, LA, or even San Diego. //Adam

Looking for something low key and non-Halloweeny to do this evening?!? Check out this amazing free show going on next door at Square Records! The Buffalo Killers are doing a mini tour of independent record stores and chose Square Records for their Akron/Canton stop. These guys have opened for the Black Crowes and played to a packed crowd at Musica. Stop by Revival and take an additional 20% off any regular priced merchandise (excluding consignment items) or take an extra 10% previously marked down merchandise. And don’t forget to stop by and visit William at The Steam Trunk around the corner on South Highland! He has an assortment of unique gifts/housewares and fall men’s clothing and vintage boots.
