Wanted to encourage folx to check out the inktober prompts for this year! Some of my best work was inspired by inktober prompts. I've never completed a full 31 days and I never intend to. I don't finish every prompt I sketch. I start sketching some things in September and don't finish others until well after October ends. Take the challenge as an opportunity to make something new that didn't exist before, rather than a pass/fail on completing the full challenge in the specified timeline. Use ink or don't, do writing instead, do a thumbnail size doodle, write a journal entry, draw in the sand. You never know when you'll strike gold!

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME SO OFTEN???

I have found the exact same thing I'm wearing at the thrift store quite a few times now. I'm used to seeing styles that I already own or have owned before, but this is getting a little ridiculous. And yes I usually do buy the dupes if they will fit me or my co-captain. 🥰

Peep the eyeball t***y tiedye, this attempt wasn't as crisp as I wanted but still fun to wear and I want to add some like this to inventory in the future. Still in self care era this year, but I appreciate when yall ask about us and show your love for wanting more of our goods! We'll be back eventually I promise 💕

Happy Pride! We didn't vend this year but got to make an appearance. Always emotional about the AIDS quilt section on display 💔 but grateful for the ongoing loving rememberance and honoring our lost community. I think this is 2 years in a row there were zero protesters?? Thought they'd be thrilled to get up real early & attend from across the street 🤣

Always thrilled to see they're still using the logo I designed for the first CV Pride 15 years ago. This event has been going on for half of my life, so wild!!! And to think it all started with our silly little idea for a DIY sidewalk march with our highschool friends & a Facebook event.

This weather is getting me thinking about starting up this year's tiedye season!! It's been a nice break waiting out the cold, but our inventory needs a serious re-up before we sign up for another event.

Inktober 2019 - "Weak"

We are heartbroken about this week's election. Scared and worried for our loved ones and community. Angry for the ongoing injustice, hurt, terrorizing and lack of safety & security that all people have a right to have. We need to show up for eachother, put our energy and time into mutual aid, and take care of ourselves in the process. Ask for what you need, hold space, mourn, grieve, find beauty and joy in small things, create for creation's sake. You are loved and important. We see you and value your presence on this Earth.
