Never Forget....22 years ago 246 people went to sleep September 10th 2001 in preparation for their morning flights. 2,997 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters and 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for their morning patrol. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001.
22 years ago all of your lives changed in a split second. At 13 years old I knew that the world i once knew as a fun carefree safe place was no longer that at all. At that moment in time i knew we would be going to war and it scared me like nothing ever had before. That was the day i decided i would join the military so that this would never happen again.
You only get 1 chance at life so don’t waste it, today we honor all the men, and women lost that fateful day. Be vigilant, Be Savage, and never let your enemy bring the fight to you, bring the fight to the enemy. At 18 years old i took an oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States of America. An oath that i will continue to uphold until my last breath on this earth.
In one single moment, life may never be the same. So just for now, be grateful. We are resilient. Tonight, before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted because you never know what the next second holds.
