🧹 The Evolution of Cleaning: Then vs. Now (Part 3)
The average American home in 1950 was about 1,000 square feet.
Today, the average new home is more than twice that size.
More bathrooms.
More windows.
More flooring.
More furniture.
More surfaces collecting dust.
And let's be honest...
Many families today have fewer people living in those larger homes.
Sure, Grandma may have raised four kids in a one-bathroom house.
But I don't even want to share a bathroom with my husband. 😆
The result?
Even though we have better tools, there's simply more house to maintain.
More rooms to vacuum.
More showers to scrub.
More countertops to wipe down.
More places for mystery clutter to appear.
It's not your imagination.
Keeping up with a home today is a bigger job than it was for previous generations.
