Stopped by yesterday to add two new pieces and these are the only pics I took of them. šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø. In my defense it was my family’s fault. When I came around the corner there stood my sister shopping in the aisle. We spoke, hugged and then my mom came around the corner. It was like a family reunion. Don’t ya just love when vintage brings people together ? šŸ’•.

Anyway these are the cutest pieces. The little teapot is a little teapot that will accent your blue and white pieces so sweetly

The hand painted egg is a find. She’s a little girl too. She sits on a little base in a little glass display box.

They are both under $10 and I think you need them. It’s the last shopping day of the week. Open today (Saturday) 9:30-4:30

NEWS RELEASE

Ive had about a million people ask me about purchasing this cabinet. It has always been my display and not for sale but NOW she’s ready for a new home hopefully to be used as she was intended!

Shes painted white, has an adjustable shelf, two drawers that work like they are supposed to, new hardware and a tin back! Shes perfect as a coffee bar or to display all of your treasures plus have room for storage in the two drawers. Her price and measurements are in the last two pics.

Our policy is if it’s priced over $100 you can make an offer. So who needs her??

You can visit her in person in booth #46 at the Treasure Chest

I just love these two little vignettes!

The Dalmatian would make a great addition to any room but I can see him in a home office, study or library. Maybe even as a Father’s Day gift.

The tin box with its bird motif and muted colors will also add to any room to store/hide items (think remote controls or charger cables).

Almost all of the amethyst glass has been marked down to $8 except the one with the lid and it’s $10

Stop by booth #46 at the Alexandria Treasure Chest to see these pieces and ALL the other pieces that I got crazy and marked down (there’s a lot, I got real crazy)

It’s time for my hormone pellets and I’m a bit moody lately. But I feel I can be honest with you

The store had a big event this past Saturday and as a store, our sales numbers ROCKED!

Just not mine.

I sold exactly 3 items that totaled $7.50 plus I had a 25% off sale that day.

So all those fabulous pieces I was going to bring in today? Yeah, they came back home with me because I still have so much inventory and no room.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m over the moon thrilled for my fellow vendors that sold so many pieces Saturday, I’m just feeling a little discouraged right now And its not just Saturday numbers, I’ve had a less than stellar month.

Like I said, I’m hormonal and all in my feelings. But my craziness works to your advantage because I marked down almost EVERY PIECE in booth #46. It’s not a booth wide sale, it’s individually marked items, so go in and look, please. Feel free to buy stuff too

Also, in my hormonal madness I put the WHITE CABINET UP FOR SALE! She has been a wonderful display piece for years but it’s time for her to be used as she was intended to be loved in someone’s home, maybe yours?

The chest is not for sale!! But she did cause quite the stir in my post yesterday and deservedly so, she’s quite fantastic! But she hasn’t always been that way. Take a look at where she came from.

I know sometimes I can get long winded but I’ll share her story if you’d like. Show your interest by commenting ā€œstoryā€ and I’ll make a post about her origins

If you’d don’t want to hear the story it’s ok, sometimes just looking at pictures is all you need.

On Sunday evenings I pull out all of my treasures that I’ve sourced during the week and clean, research and price them to get ready to bring to the market. These are two of my absolute favorites and most definitely hard to part with pieces and a bit of history on them:

The Hollywood regency lamp:
Hollywood Regency style, popular in the 1930s and revived in the 1970s, is characterized by its glamorous and opulent aesthetic, blending Art Deco, Rococo, and traditional elements. This style is known for its striking symmetry and ornate detailing, making pieces stand out as statement items.

The combination of Art Deco and Hollywood Regency in the 1970s revival led to lamps and furniture that exuded a sense of vintage glamour and sophisticated luxury, often seen in high-end interior design.

MCM green ceramic horse statues:
Ceramic horse figurines, particularly those inspired by Tang Dynasty horses, have a rich history in Chinese art, dating back to the 7th to 10th centuries. These figures were often placed in tombs and were prized for their artistry and symbolism, representing power, status, and the Silk Road trade. The Tang Dynasty was a golden age for ceramics, and these horses are among its most iconic creations.

Part of the fun in collecting is learning the history of the pieces. Hope you enjoyed learning about these two pieces as much as I did.
