These 2 beauties are headed to Arkansas today. Started with a beautiful wedding gown, probably 1990’s era, and was asked to make 2 dressing gowns for her daughters.

I don't even know how to tell you how much I LOVED this project! A Beautiful wedding gown, but slightly dated and not loved by the younger generation :( So, in preparation for a first grandbaby, and for any and all future babies, I had a wonderful lady come to me to have Baptism outfits made from her dress. This was a challenge, but oh so exciting and such fun. What a treasure for future generations, THANK YOU for trusting me!

I haven't posted in a while, and sorry about that, I'm working on a couple 'little' projects that are really pretty big and awesome! Stay tuned for photos of them before long. In the meantime, I'll catch you all up with a few of the things I've been working on lately.
First up, this pretty lady! I did a little work on her dress in the long form last year for a wedding, (so pretty!) and since she loved the dress and needed something for another wedding this year, she wanted it shortened, it turned out so well and again -So Pretty!

Lets talk, maybe I can help!
First is a leather jacket that he caught on something and tore, he was ready to repair with duck tape!
Last photo is a pair of gladiator sandals, super cute, but she has nice slim legs, these just didn't fit well. I shortened all those straps for a much better fit.

I Love weddings, and I LOVE wedding dresses, so I really love when I get the honor of working on one of these beauties and helping the bride be her most beautiful self! I recently got to work some magic on this dress. The gowns skirt tapered back into a train, and she didn't want that feature, but we needed to keep the beautiful lace edging. This was achieved by removing the skirt, shortening at the waist and putting the gown back together (simple, right?) She also needed the corset closure to make for a better fit, so I removed the zipper, created the lace-up, and reworked the lace bodice to make a keyhole back opening. Isn't she a BEAUTIFUL bride?! Thank you Ashley for trusting me!

This is my Easter dress re-make. I found a dress and jacket, brand new with tags in our thrift shop, fell in love with the fabric, but the dress was several sizes too big. I re-fashioned it based on a dress I have and like the fit. I took the sleeves off the jacket and used them, along with using the jacket body fabric to make the bodice I wanted. I love how it turned out.

As some of you may already know, I recently and VERY suddenly had some health problems and I have had to take a break from sewing and I am unable to accept any new clients right now. I have quite a road ahead, but I hope to be back and sewing again as soon as I can.
Thanks! Jo
