I founded Mckee Legacy Designs in October of 2016. My father passed away from congestive heart failure back in August 1995, my brother recently passed in December of 2014 of Alcoholism, and my mom is currently in memory care due to Alzheimer's. The only remaining members of my immediate family are myself and my sister. It is because of my parents that I learned to have a strong faith in God. My pa

rents founded our family on faith. I will always be grateful that my parents instilled my growing faith throughout my life. After recently losing my brother and realizing how severely affected my Mom was from Alzheimer's and moving her to memory care, I decided to create a faith based hat line in honor of my family. Knowing I was going to be married and would change my last name to my husbands, I decided to carry on the family name through my business - McKee Legacy Designs. Through my business I hope to carry on the McKee Family legacy and share my faith with others.

I am clearly not f-ing thrilled about it one bit.

49 is no joke..

🔹Gray hair 👩‍🦳
🔹Horrible eyesight
🔹More aches and pains than I’d like to admit.
🔹Feel exhausted 😩 more often.
🔹Oh yea and some unwanted facial hair??? (SERIOUSLY?)
And so much more...

Guess what?

I’m not letting it get me down.

I can look at this picture and find a million critiques... one almost kept me from posting it but screw it... it don’t care 🤷‍♀️

I can look in the mirror each day and rip myself apart in so many ways...
I’ve done it most of my life...

NO MORE!!!

This constant inner critic I’ve lived with for so long needs to get the F.. out!

I’m looking forward to turning 50 in November!

WHY?

Let’s change al those negatives to positives.

🔹I’m married to an amazing guy! (Even though he enjoys my pain a little too much)

🔹I am a mother at 49 to the cutest, funniest, most amazing little human on the planet. (I know you other moms will beg to differ as yours is probably the cutest!)

🔹I still have the energy to chase a 14 month old around all day everyday... (he is seriously 😳 giving me a run 🏃‍♀️ for my money 💰 ) (no like I’m seriously 😒 running)

🔹I have the most fun job working for the best companies.

🔹I still have the stamina, health and energy to workout 🏋️‍♀️ and stay in shape.

🔹I’ve been able to maintain my lean physique despite being in menopause the last 5 years.

🔹Oh yes and I a a million laugh 😆 lines because of all the fun I’ve had in life... (like how I turned those wrinkles into a positive?)

I could go on and on but this post is already too long...

Thoughtful Thursday! Let’s admit it...we all have flaws! Our flaws do not make us unlovable, they make us human and unique! Before you judge or condemn others for their flaws pause, take a breath and remember love and kindness take looking past the flaws of others and accepting people for who they are. We all deliver our own “crazy” to the world 🌎 and everyone delivers a different crazy 😜! Find the beautiful in people despite the crazy! You would want the same when they look deep inside you.
