What’s the sky doing where you are??

🌩️We’ve got some active weather in the forecast this week, and, although I love an exciting thunderstorm, some of my kids get pretty anxious when the sky rumbles.

⛈️ Sooo, I prepped a bit last night and grabbed our cloud pieces from Snowy Owl Creative, whipped up a fresh batch of lavender scented play dough, and got out our Storms printable bundle to keep my kiddos calm and regulated, playfully learning, and distracted from the weather!☺️

Wednesday morning Ponder+Play Clubs will dig into communities of west Michigan’s past and present as we build our own box town, dig for Mastadon fossils, learn about the land and water forms around our state, make butter just like the pioneers of our area did, celebrate Grandparent’s Day with our own special VIP guests, and so much more!

We start in just ✌️ weeks at the historic and gorgeous District 5 Schoolhouse in Borculo, but emails with info on our field trip, monthly mom event, presentation topics, and secret passwords are coming out TOMORROW, 8/29 (watch your email inbox)!!

💡Freshen up your white shoes and add these new rainbow shoe activities into the mix as you read Pete this year:

1. Sort the shoes into “Right” and “Left” piles.
2. Complete and make your new patterns with them.
3. Use them as non-standard measuring objects and measure how many “feet” items like markers, glue sticks, and crayons are.

🔴 REMINDER: Enrollment for the September PreK-K and the 1st-3rd grade Ponder+Play Clubs meeting in on closes tomorrow night (Saturday, August 22).

October enrollment for those two clubs will open back up for current families on September 15 and to the public (if any seats remain) on September 18.

After several DM requests, we’ll keep the afternoon elective classes open for enrollment thru the first week of September, too! (🤗🤗)
