So this is exciting. New equipment is starting to come in. The biggest purchase is a DTF machine. If you don’t know what that is…it prints full color transfers. This means we can print designs on demand. This means less class time for screen printing, so students can do their own projects and work on customer designs. The old fashioned screen printing isn’t going away for print jobs that are quicker. Students will get to create more complex multi color designs. To have DTF means we need to use it. If you have a need for transfers, you can transfer on items yourself or want to have us complete your order, please reach out to [email protected] or message here. Email preferred If we don’t get the ink flowing on the DTF then we will have issues continuing use. Roughly, each print will cost .02 cents per square inch. The machine gets here Monday. We hope to have it up and running in the next few weeks.ns
Exciting News for Charger Nation!!!
I am excited to announce that USD 329 Wabaunsee has been awarded a $70,067 grant from the Patterson Family Foundation to support the expansion and modernization of Charger Ink! This grant was made possible thanks to the leadership and vision of Amy Cassell, Industrial Technology, Visual Arts, Yearbook, and Student Council teacher at Wabaunsee High School, who applied for and secured this award on behalf of our district. The funds will allow us to upgrade Charger Ink with professional-grade printing and embroidery systems, screen exposure units, technology upgrades, air conditioning, and flooring improvements. These enhancements will give our students hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, preparing them for careers in business, design, and entrepreneurship.
A huge THANK YOU to the Patterson Family Foundation for believing in our vision, and to Amy for her hard work in bringing this opportunity home to Charger Nation!
