"On Sunday a woman in New York
City accidentally threw out her
diamond wedding ring. She realized
it in the middle of the night, and did
the only thing she could think of, she
left a NOTE on the windshield of a
parked garbage truck. When the
garbage man got to work, he read
the note, dug through tons of
garbage, and FOUND her ring.

The driver's name is Gary Gaddist,
and he went through the garbage
HIMSELF. It took him about an hour,
but he was able to find the garbage
bag with paint rags in it and when he
ripped it open, he found Danielle's
ring!

Sometime in the late 40’s, before either man was famous, Frank Sinatra appeared in a theater in New York. After his show he went to Harlem to see the Will Maston Trio led by a young Sammy Davis Jr. Frank is blown away by Sammy’s talent and after the show he asks Sammy to come see his show.

A week goes by. No Sammy. Sinatra goes back to Harlem to see the Will Maston Trio again and asks Sammy why he didn’t show. Sammy said he was there but they wouldn’t let him in. Frank stormed back to the theater, tore up his contract in front of them, and never performed there again. That would be a common theme during the course of their friendship and careers. When Sammy wasn’t allowed to play at the Copacabana, Frank wouldn’t play there either.

When Sammy was refused a Las Vegas hotel room, Frank said, “Give him my room!” After Sammy’s car accident where he lost his eye, it was Sinatra who paid all his medical bills. After 5 decades and 40 years of performing together, a reporter once asked Frank why he was always so charitable to Sammy. Frank responded in three words, “He’s my brother.”

Every time a random stranger on the internet calls me a racist for talking about race, a unicorn gets their horn. 🦄

Talking about racism isn't racist.
Talking about white supremacy isn't racist.
Acknowledging privilege isn't racist.
You're just uncomfortable.

The mere existence of Black people is not oppression.

Black people demanding justice is not oppression.
Black people making you uncomfortable is not racism.

Black people not liking you is not oppression.

Admitting that white supremacy dictates large portions of society is not racism.
 
Being committed to dismantling white supremacy is not oppression.
 
Anti-racism is not racism.

I won't "agree to disagree" on some topics, and I'm okay with that.

I won't let you "all lives matter" my posts to feed your need to be comfortable.

I will not agree to disagree on human rights, basic safety and valuing of marginalized lives.

We can agree to disagree on hockey teams or books.

We can't agree to disagree on why I deserve to survive my next traffic stop.

You may think that responding with "all lives matter" isn't racism, it is.

If the words "white privilege" or "white supremacy" make you uncomfortable, you're going to hate the dismantling of it in 2022.

Bonus: I would like to only be referred to as "Miss Unicorn" going forward.
