Vesala - Tequila (virallinen musiikkivideo) Thought there was something familiar about this video when I saw it on YouTube. Upon closer inspection it has proven to be from a musician from Finland who approached us about doing a video of her song. Looks like this went up around 10 years ago so it gives a look pre January 8th 2025. Interesting video and a nice song.

Photo of Zorthian, Feynman and Davies families in La Mision, Mexico taken probably around 1976 or 1977. Around 1970 Jirayr Zorthian had an opportunity to purchase a beach house in La Mision Mexico and we began to spend time there. Several years later, Jirayr's invited his friend, Richard Feynman to come down and visit with his family. Richard liked it so much he decided to purchase the house next door. The presence of the Feynman family in La Mision during various vacations, led to a tradition of both families spending every Thanksgivng together in Mexico. One year it would be our turn to do the cooking and host at our house and the next year it would be theirs. During the 4 or 5 days we would spend there, there would be much visiting back and forth, much discussion and arguing over various intellectual and not so intellectual matters and just generally having a good time. Added to the mix was the Davies family. Richard Davies was a mathematician at Jet Propulsion Laboratories and his wife Gwenda was an artist from Wales . Various other family friends were also sometimes in attendance. Pictured here are, from the top left, Alan Zorthian, Carl Feynman, family friend Jane Morrison, Barry Zorthian, Richard Feynman, Alice Zorthian, Michelle Feynman, Brett Davenport, Dabney Zorthian, Richard Davies, Gwenda Davies, Jirayr Zorthian and Gweneth Feynman.

Despite a little bit of rain Bill Thornton came by lower Zorthian Ranch at Apo's garden and gave us some information about the different forms of law, last Sunday. We learned a great deal and we now know more than we did on Saturday. He will be coming the second Sunday of every month for those who are interested. Next meeting will be Sunday May 10th. So we attended the Blessing of the Animals again this past weekend. Olvera Street has upheld this tradition for a very long time. Jirayr Zorthian started bringing family and animals in the early 1950s. Please support Olvera Street, the historic center of Los Angeles, as the City of Los Angeles is making it difficult for them in many ways. This showed up on YouTube. Video by Tara Beier. Nice song. This looks like it was shot maybe 15 years ago before we did some work on the pool. Obviously what you see here is radically transformed after Janurary 8, 2025 but were still here.

Filmmaker Tim Prokop spent the last year on this piece called LA FIRESTORM INSIDE THE INFERNO which deals with what happened to Altadena and Pacific Palisades on January 7, 8 and 9th, 2025. It consists of interviews and footage documenting what happened. Among others interviewed for the film, Tim recorded Andres Bernaby, Thomas Messina and myself, Alan Zorthian who made the choice to stay and try to stop what was inexorably bearing down on us. Tim's film is premiering today on REELZ. I believe our interviews are interspersed through out the 3 hour film.

Three part series premieres Sunday 2/1 at 8pm ET
