Memorial Day is so much more than a long weekend.

It’s a day for remembering the sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, friends, and loved ones who left home to serve our country and never made it back. It’s about honoring lives that were given so the rest of us could continue living ours freely.

Today, may we slow down for just a moment and remember that freedom has always come with a cost. Behind every flag placed at a cemetery, every folded uniform, and every name etched into stone… was a person deeply loved and deeply missed.

From all of us at The Whispering Roots, we send love and gratitude to the families carrying those sacrifices every day. ❤️

We will be closed Sunday 5/24 to spend the extended holiday weekend with family. We will reopen our normal business hours after the holiday! We are still here until 5pm today.

When you open a small business, you think it’ll mostly be friends and family keeping you going. But the truth is… a lot of the people who end up supporting you are complete strangers who slowly become familiar faces, conversations, friendships, and part of your story. ❤️

To every person who has walked through our doors at The Whispering Roots, shared a post, told a friend about us, stopped in “just to look,” or spent your hard-earned money with our little store… thank you. Truly.

Small businesses run on more than sales. They run on encouragement, kind words, laughter, patience, shares, compliments, and people choosing to support a dream instead of a corporation. Every purchase, no matter how small, means more than you probably realize.

Some of you came in as strangers and now feel like part of our extended family. That’s one of the most beautiful parts of this journey.

Thank you for helping keep the lights on in an old schoolhouse full of history, treasures, creativity, and heart. We appreciate every single one of you more than words can say.
