(Continued… the rest of how Crowned started) The remodel of the space and the steps to get it ready all started in March of 2025. With vision to open Crowned Boutique and store vendors in “Priscilla’s Closet” in June! 🚀
The space was not ready and needed a lot of work but I also was not ready, it is not about being ready but saying yes and being willing to learn and grow. As it all started, I connected with some specific people that I thought may be interested to start or expand their business. They were people I knew, trusted, had a relationship with and believed they too had dreams to come to life!
There were many moments of thinking what am I doing? Do I even know how to do this? How will this work? Will we finish on time and get at least the main things in place that are needed?
I look back and I can see God’s hand, faithfulness, and grace in all of it. When doors started to shut with even finances that were needed to launch the business and He made a way, when areas that I was not strong in, He brought the people that were needed to come beside me to bring it to life. 🙏 He makes a way and provides what He leads.
It was a fast 3 months with a lot of decisions, planning, putting things in place, and grateful for Parker and Savannah who helped to get it off the ground. Along with them, Addison and Emily were excited to work at the shop as well and my daughter Mya was integral in the interior design decision making.
Anointed Ink, Kingdom Clothing, and Creekside Antiques were all preparing and planning as they put things in place for their businesses. Grateful to say all 3 of those businesses are still moving forward and still a part of the more ahead. 🥹❤️
When you look at the before and after of the space, you see a glimpse of what happened as it changed but not all it took to get there. It is the same with what God does inside us to change, form, and shape who we are becoming through the process. Through every failure, every set back, every loss, there is still learning and growth. It is all part of the journey.
A big part of Crowned Boutique was for it to be something I can do with my daughters, not that they have to but the blessing of time and allowing their gifts to shine within this space. Addy has worked in the boutique alongside me this year and also took the opportunity to do a pop ups with her thrift business she designed in young entrepreneur class. 💕Mya has been a blessing with graphic design, interior design and to expand online (yes website is coming!) 🎉 Addy is ready to assist with more decisions in shopping and choosing clothes for the store ahead. 😉
I love that I have met amazing people, had the honor to have special people be a part of making this dream come to life even for a season (Parker, Savannah, Kiara, and store vendors that have moved on) and for those who said yes and still in it to continue. For every customer, every encouragement, for every person I got to know who they are and the style they prefer. For ones that have become regulars in the shop and more like friends, to each new one that walks through the door. 🚪
There is not enough space (Instagram will have to wait 😂 until I can shorten this post!) or words to truly communicate my gratitude for the support this first year. To my husband, Mark, thank you for being my biggest supporter and believing in me more than I could ever believe in myself. Thank you for pushing me and helping me breaking off self limits that are not mine and walk more fully in who I am becoming! 🥹💕 Mark Mielnik
