Matilda Jane Friends-
It is with great sadness that I inform you that Matilda Jane closed it’s doors at 5 p.m. tonight. We were shocked to receive notification this morning after a new release last night. I honestly don’t know what to say…Matilda Jane has been part of my life for the past 11 years. I just finished my 22nd season with the company and quite frankly it was probably time for me to part ways from a business standpoint but I couldn’t possibly because of all the friendships I formed with my customers and the sisterhood I had with my fellow trunk keepers. I appreciate all of your support during my time at Matilda Jane and am super lucky to have made such wonderful friends and meaningful relationships through this job. My days traveling to Indiana, State College, etc. meant the world to me!!! It has been such an important part of my life and Andie’s greatest moments have all included Matilda Jane.
We received little information on the fate of MJ, but the website will be active while they liquidate product. I will no longer have access to my trunk panel, be able to enter orders for you, check order status, or receive commission from here on out. I am happy to help in anyway that I can but also found out late this afternoon that my email access was terminated at 5:00 p.m. I have so many emails that go to that address so this causes me great anxiety but if you need to access me via email, please use [email protected].
I will have my sample sale ASAP so you can buy things for the holidays and will share additional information as I get it. Thank you all so much for making Matilda Jane more than just clothes and bringing so much happiness into my life. I am fortunate to have had this wonderful company and all of you for the past 11 years and am very sad about the abrupt ending but hope to maintain relationships with all of you.
