So…Winter.
I was hoping to have the shop open tomorrow for our scheduled final day but I don’t think it’s do-able.
I’ll keep an eye on the weather reports & what other Amana shops are doing then make a decision later today.
It’s definitely not how I wanted to say good-bye, tho. ☹️

Dear Friends-
Nearly 7 years ago, I fulfilled a desire I had back in my 30s-to open my own antique shop.
It took until my 50s but when opportunity knocked, I jumped. And thanks to my family & friends it’s been a great time! I’ve never regretted it.

Unfortunately, due to the virus happenings, in 2020 I lost about 60% of my business traffic. And it just hasn’t come back.
It’s been a struggle for the last 2 years and with the current economic outlook, I doubt things will improve any time soon.

So with that, I’ve decided to close the shop. It’s been a difficult decision but necessary.

Scatter Joy Vintage’s final business day, weather permitting (It is Iowa after all!) will be Friday December 23, 2022.

I want to thank all of you for your support. It’s been so much fun; I’ve made so many friends. It’s been my privilege to meet you all.

As a Thank You, I’ll be running monthly discounts on my inventory. (Exclusions will still include artisan pieces & the few consignment items. They will be priced as marked).
