Rebels, today we pause to remember the events of September 11, 2001, a day that changed our nation forever.

As high schoolers, many of you weren’t yet born, but the lessons of unity, resilience, and hope remain as important today, as ever. May we honor the lives lost by choosing kindness, courage, and love each day. And may we look to the examples set by everyday heroes; our first responders, neighbors, strangers, and friends. May their sacrifice and compassion serve as an example of what we can do when we stand together and look out for one another.
