I’m officially part of the Rebel Legion! I’m so excited to finally join with my first approved costume. I can’t wait to start trooping with you all!

For my first costume, I chose a generic Jedi because I wanted to sew it all myself. I used linen/cotton blend fabrics from for all of the pieces. I wanted to use patterns I already owned, so I modified the Laureen dress from TOSCAminni for the inner tunic, modified the Harper cardigan from for the outer tunic, modified the Century pants from for the pants, and self drafted the obi and tabbards. I picked up my boots secondhand, got my belt from Gibraltar Industry, the pouches are WWII ammo pouches from Midway USA that I darkened with shoe polish, and my saber is one I already owned (I had to represent my girl Ahsoka).

This was such a fun project, and I’m excited to get working on more!

Happy Halloween, ghosts and ghouls!

We got to debut our Halloween costumes early at Oogie Boogie Bash, and we had the time of our lives! Jonathan and I dressed up as Eugene and Rapunzel from the animated series, and Lorelai dressed up as Star-Lord.

I had a ton of fun making our Raps and Eugene costumes, and luckily we already had everything for Star-Lord because I was sewing our Tangled outfits up until the last minute! I already shared my process for making Jonathan’s costume, and I’ll be sharing how I made mine next.

Happy Halloween!

Still floating in the clouds from my dreamy 40th birthday celebration 🥰

Oogie Boogie Bash was one of the fun things we did while in Disneyland, and I created our Rapunzel and Eugene costumes from seasons 2 and 3 of the animated series for us to wear to the party. I’ll share more about the process for making those soon!
