Happy New Years!

Please be kind to yourself. So many will reflect on the past year, and it may not be easy if you feel that you haven't achieved everything you wanted. This tendency to annually measure our success and the pressure to set new 'goals' or resolutions can be upsetting and stressful. So don't set resolutions or big goals. Instead, try your best each day, and it's okay to have days/weeks when you can't do your best.

Suppose you do want to set resolutions or goals. Please make sure they are realistic. Also, do mini-goals throughout the year to achieve a larger goal.

I know it's hard to be kind sometimes to yourself, so treat yourself how you treat your loved ones.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month.

If you don't feel yourself, always remember that seeing a doctor is important. Increased thirst and urination, tiredness, unexplained weight loss, and blurred vision are symptoms of diabetes.

I remember realizing something was wrong with me when I kept drinking water, but my thirst wouldn't decrease. I was soon diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
