Let’s talk servicing of sewing machines.
If you sew a lot your machine should be serviced a minimum of once a year, more often if you sew everyday.
If your machine has set on a shelf for six months or more without use it should be serviced. This is because lubricants start to harden and can cause excessive wear or seize the machine up.
Let’s keep your machine in top condition so it will serve you well!

This machine was brought in because it was locked up and the take up lever wasn’t moving. This was caused by the amount of thread jammed into the machine. It also was so packed under the hand wheel that it melted the plastic around it. It was long overdue for a check up!

Anchor Point Senior Center's Holiday Bazaar will be tomorrow (Saturday, the 12th) from 10-3 at Chapman School. There will a LOT of local vendors who can use your support. Come shop early and local. I'll be there (Sew Good Machine Care/Wopota Designs) with lots of handmade goodies. Here are a few samples of my work:
chef apron/hat sets for kids, "infinite" number of infinity scarves, bibs, quilts, soup bowl cozies galore, table runners, reversible dresses, pillowcases, onesies, and MORE! See you all there!!

I'll also have a couple grandkids who have some items for sale ... don't make them cry 😭
