You’ve made it through back-to-school week, onwards to fall family photo planning!
Check out our top 5 tips for coordinating outfits for family photos.
1️⃣ Mom, pick your outfit first! This tip is non-negotiable. Find something you love and are comfortable wearing. Remember, it doesn’t have to be new! If you are comfortable and happy in your outfit, the day will automatically go more smoothly.
2️⃣ If dad is in the photos, dress him opposite of you. You have a pattern? He wears a solid. Visa versa.
3️⃣ Coordinate colors instead of matching outfits. Pick 3-5 colors that harmonize with your outfit to create cohesion.
4️⃣ Use varying textures and layers to add interest if it’s feeling flat.
5️⃣ Don’t stress about the details. Your kids don’t have shoes that perfectly coordinate? It’s OK! Don’t spend $30+ on a pair of shoes they dislike and will never wear again. Put them in their back-to-school tennis shoes. They’ll be far more comfortable and smile brighter if their feet don’t hurt!
