We’re thrilled to be partnering with Little Mountain Art for a new kids painting class at The Stubborn Sunflower! You may recognize Lexi as the amazing face painter from the Hillcrest events, and now she’s bringing her artistic talents to the shop for an evening of fun!

Join us on Thursday, June 25th from 5-7 PM as kids ages 7-12 learn to paint “Firefly GLOW,” a beautiful summer canvas featuring glow in the dark fireflies. With easy instruction and a small class size, this is the perfect opportunity for young artists of all skill levels to create something they’ll be proud to take home.

The cost is $35 per student and all supplies are included. Painting clothes are recommended (aprons available), and all seats must be reserved in advance. Link in the comments and on our website ♥️

Whether you teach crochet, woodworking, resin art, watercolor, paper crafts, or something completely unique, we’d love to hear from you! Our goal is to continue bringing fun, creative experiences to our community while supporting local artists and makers. If you’ve been looking for a welcoming space to share your skills, this might be the perfect opportunity! 🎨

We are absolutely blown away by the support we’ve received for our Back to School Supply Drive so far! When we started this idea, we hoped to help a handful of local students. Thanks to this amazing community, we’re already seeing that our impact will be much greater than we anticipated. Special shoutout to Sarah for her generous donation today! 🥹

Every notebook, backpack, folder, pack of pencils, and spirit wear donation will help local kids start the school year feeling prepared and supported. Thank you for believing in this and for always showing up when our community needs it most. We still have plenty of time left in the drive, and we can’t wait to see how many backpacks we can fill together by the end of July! 💛🌻

We’ll be closing at 4 PM today!

We’re keeping an eye on the weather and have no clue what it’s going to do next. Rather than gamble with Mother Nature, we’re heading home a little early. The dads are currently outnumbered by kids, cats, and weather anxiety. After the last tornado sirens, we’re pretty sure they’re still recovering. They’ve done a commendable job, but it’s time for the second shift to clock in. 😂

Stay safe, stay dry, and we’ll see you tomorrow at 11! ❤️
